About the room
The Cave Suite is the oldest room in the house: a single barrel vault dug into the hill in 1890 and whitewashed every spring since.
The deep window faces west. In harvest week the sun sets straight through it and lays a patch of light across the kilim.
It stays cool all day without air conditioning. A shaded terrace outside has two chairs and a view of terrace four.
